The outcome of digitally-led campaign #LeBigSwim sees Kronenbourg 1664 and Eric Cantona swim their way to this week’s ad of the week.

Voted for by The Drum’s Creative Department readers, this week’s ad of the week sees Cantona come good on his promise to swim the Channel from France to England if enough Brits agreed Kronenbourg 1664 is the greatest tasting beer.

The final ad sees Cantona don a skin-tight wetsuit to dive into the sea with steely determination for the challenge ahead. Moments later, however, the film cuts to Cantona climbing aboard a luxury yacht and continuing to swim in the vessels luxurious heated deck-top pool.

In true Cantona fashion on arrival in the UK he explains: “It’s not where the seagull flies to; it’s how it gets there.”
