Art imitating life? Banksy's Dismaland ticket website crashes
The ticket site for Banksy's theme park Dismaland has been crashing upon high demand with social media users speculating that the errors are yet another of the artist's works.
The Weston-super-Mare-based amusement park specialising in “art, amusements and entry-level anarchism” culminates the work of over 50 international artists.
Positioned as England’s anti-DisneyLand, the surprise unveiling of the “Bemusement Park” captured the imaginations (or nightmares) of the public.
Demand resulted in Dismaland.co.uk bookings site crashing on Friday morning.
Tickets went for sales at £3 per person, but many complained they couldn't access the digital site to follow through with payment.
Some Twitter users kept the Dismaland theme in their complaints regarding the site outage.
It seems Banksy has managed to perfectly recreate the misery of buying tickets for theme parks too... #Dismaland pic.twitter.com/9UAxQgU4Kz

Not sure if this #Dismaland #Tickets are real or if #Banksy is just messing with us. pic.twitter.com/coTrBYP4pl

I'm 99.9% sure the idea you can buy tickets to #Dismaland is a complete lie... but I can't stop hitting refresh just in case I'm wrong!
