Scooter, croissant & champagne glasses could join expanded emoji set
The ever growing emoji character set is to get still bigger in 2016 with a raft of new cartoon icons ranging from streaky bacon to a carrot and a potato, solving once and for all the difficulties of illustrating vegetable related texts.
They are included amongst 38 potential new emojis which are being put forward for consideration by the Unicode 9 Consortium for inclusion in their latest update of the popular character set.
No images have yet been produced to illustrate the new designs prompting Emojipedia to go-ahead and commission graphic designer Joshua M. Jones to depict what might be in store.
Other potential new additions include a wilting rose, a bat, fist bump gesture, pregnant woman, Prince, Mrs Christmas, disco man and tuxedo groom.
