American actress Sharon Stone has been making waves after taking centre stage in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar, posing for the culture mag in nothing but a pair of Jimmy Choo stilettos and jewellery.

The piece, titled Sharon Stone Reveals All, documents the actress’s battle back to health following a 2001 brain haemorrhage, a recovery which will be cemented this fall when the broadcast of new TNT series Agent X, in which Stone plays the role of US vice president.

It has already stirred controversy amongst readers however with many accusing the title of promoting unrealistic body images through the use of enhanced and airbrushed images.

In the interview Stone remarks: “I thought, ‘You know what? I got thrown off the bullet train, and now I’m going to have to crawl up a hill of broken glass, get back on the train that’s going a million miles an hour, and work my way from the cattle car up.

“That’s just the way it is, so I’d better get humble and shut the f–k up and do the job. Because if I can’t do this job, I’m certainly not going to be able to do anything else.”

Stone rose to fame as a femme fatale in 1992’s Basic Instinct, later receiving a best actress Oscar nomination for playing a gangsters wife in 1995 flick Casino.

A promising career soon came off the rails however following the critically panned Basic Instinct 2.
