MySingleFriend launches ‘dating school’ to woo people after a break-up
MySingleFriend aims to entice divorcees, and those getting over a break-up with a long-term partner back into the dating game with a back-to-school themed campaign encouraging them to “swot up” on their dating skills.
The thought of dating someone new after years of being with the same person can bring some out in a cold sweat, but the dating site, which was founded by TV star Sarah Beeny, is encouraging such people to tap into their “wealth of experience in relationships”, with a campaign offering “academic dating tips”.
“Think of yourself as a worldly mature student, heading back into the fray. Plus, the great thing about online dating is that everyone is on there to find someone special so you are all in the same boat... So do your homework, and get reading and you will be top of the class in no time,” reads a release from the online dating site.
MySingleFriend’s ‘dating school’ is broken down into six classes including: art; history; physical education; geography; chemistry and maths (see gallery below).

Art

Dating is a great opportunity for getting creative and trying new things. Forget a night down the pub, and try your hand at life drawing classes, or get crafty or visit an exhibition with a new beau.
History

We’ve all got it. A few exes in the closet, and a little bit of baggage in tow. It is not a cardinal sin to mention exes on a date, but if you spend the whole night discussing Mr Wrong’s downfalls, you may as well be taking him along on the date with you.
Physical Education

If you and your date are both fans of the great outdoors, why not engage in some physical activity for your date. Take a late night stroll through the park, go hiking or mountain biking across the countryside.
Geography

One of the best ways to get into a new mindframe is to visit new places. So forget the local pub where you and your ex spent every Sunday together, and get exploring. Visiting new places is a great way to shake the dust on your love live.
Chemistry

That strange intangible beast, chemistry. From physical attraction that hits you like a train, to the kind of connection which comes through shared interest, chemistry is key to dating. However, if it isn’t there, move on. This is one class you can’t skip.
Maths

It may sound mercenary, but dating is a numbers game. Yes, you might strike it lucky with your first ever date, but in reality it is unlikely. Dating is all about number crunching, the more dates you go on the more likely you are to finally meet the one.
