A slew of toys from the upcoming Star Wars flick The Force Awakens are being sold on e-commerce sites such as eBay predating their actual release to the public.

Mysterious figures from the movie (including that of Captain Phasma) are up for sale on the site – crucially accompanied by descriptions of their role in the franchise, providing potential spoilers.

Following the news that at least seven top brands including Verizon, Subway, Duracell, HP, General Mills, CoverGirl and Max Factor; and FCA US have signed up as partners to the franchise, a stream of Star Wars toys are now for sale on eBay.

Despite the brand's best efforts to keep a lid on crucial characters, plot developments and filming locations, many of the images were shared by collector @CHUCKDUKAS, giving fans a sneak peak at the merchandise.

The toys seem a dead certainty to prove a hit with the kids at Christmas following the movie’s 18 December release date.
