A bold man with his sights on a position in the Canadian parliament has released an ad so outlandish it has won him unlikely support from a bemused international community.

Wyatt Scott, an independent candidate for Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon, earlier this summer released a bizarre ad campaign featuring eye-lasers, killer-robots, down-with-it aliens, dragon-slaying, fast-growing facial hair and a giant goose.

The surreal spot puts forward the 38-year-old's ambitious plan for government reform in style. Presenting on top of that some substance, Wyatt vowed to lower university tuition fees, stop cuts to health and social service and extend government protect to Canada’s indigenous peoples.

Since it was released in June, the video has racked up 151,878 views.

Wyatt is also looking for the public to back his push for the parliament on Fundrazr. If you want to see more beings capable of firing lasers from their eyes serve the Canadian government, make a pledge here.

An individual from Arizona donated Wyatt $5 for his campaign merely after enjoying the video.

Time will tell whether his virality converts to votes on election day (19 October 19).
