Dr Dre album Compton launches exclusively on Apple Music
Dr Dre’s first solo album in 16 years was last night launched exclusively on Apple Music.
The artist made the announcement during his Beats 1 show, the Pharmacy, boasting the album's guest appearances from Snoop Dogg and Eminem.
Exclusive to Apple Music ahead of streaming rivals for a limited time, the album is a loosely based on the biopic Straight Outta Compton.

Dre told Beats 1 co-host Zane Lowe on Thursday: “I feel it’s the right thing to do and I hope everybody appreciates the work I put into this album.”
The artist also outlined plans to donate proceeds from the track to fund performing arts facilities in California.

After his appearance on the show, Compton was streamed for three hours on a loop on Apple Music. As of today (Friday 7 August) the album was made available for purchase on iTunes.
