Women dispel tech stereotypes with #ILookLikeAnEngineer Twitter campaign
Female engineers have taken to Twitter to dispel stereotypes about the industry – namely that it features mostly men.
Using the #ILookLikeAnEngineer, women shared images of themselves with a brief description of their role and title.
The awareness-raising campaign was first sparked in a series of social media adverts from San Francisco developer OneLogin which was looking for new developers.
Employee Isis Wenger kicked off the campaign with the following tweet.
