Fitness First is again using the London Underground strikes as a marketing campaign by offering commuters free showers and use of its facilities.

The 24 hour strike is due to go ahead from 6:30pm tonight and Fitness First has taken the opportunity to promote its brand over social media with the #FFKeepMoving offer, first created during last month’s underground walk out.

The Keep Moving promotion encourages tube-struck Londoners to walk, run or cycle to and from work and offers free showers and training sessions across all of its London gyms.

Commuters wishing to take advantage of the offer are being asked to bring their Oyster Card to any of the Fitness First’s 45 central London gyms.

A spokesperson said: “The tubes might have stopped but that doesn’t mean you have to. With 45 gyms across London, Fitness First will be open as usual – meaning there really is no excuses not to get your workout done this week!

Gyms opening up include its Oxford Circus, London Bridge, Liverpool Street, Brixton and Carnaby branches.
