Global airline alliance SkyTeam has announced that XXS Amsterdam will be its second creative partner for its global communications. The appointment will see the agency work with SkyTeam and its global lead agency BETC Paris to offer a range of communication services to the alliance.

XXS Amsterdam, whose other clients include Schweppes, HEMA and Healthy People, came out on top after a four-way pitch with three other leading Amsterdam agencies. The aim was to connect SkyTeam with travellers and make SkyTeam communications engaging and relevant to both travellers and employees of member airlines.

Director of brand and communications at SkyTeam, Fatima da Gloria, said that XXS “brought in experience with and passion for the aviation sector and is rightly sized to match our need for efficiency and speed with the right competitive pricing".

Piet Hein Smit, partner at XXS Amsterdam, said the partnership was “a perfect match with our talents and expertise, as well as our international ambition. Not only do we have a strong history of working with airline brands, but our office is located a stone’s throw from Schiphol Airport”.

XXS Amsterdam will develop both B2B, B2C and internal communication materials such as online social tools, brochures, videos and training materials. SkyTeam’s global lead agency, BETC Paris, will continue to develop and drive the overall communications strategy and campaigns.
