Mubaloo’s CEO Mark Mason has announced that he is stepping down from his role as chief executive of the mobile consultancy and enterprise app developer.

After six years as CEO, Mason will now act as the company’s chairman while Sarah Weller and Gemma Coles have been named as joint-managing directors and appointed to its board of directors.

Mason said that the reason behind his decision to step back was because his “commitments outside of Mubaloo have increased", including becoming non-exec director for Business West, Governor of University West of England, executive chairman of ForrestBrown and chairman of The South West Leadership Group for Princes Trust.

He took the opportunity to convey his confidence in Weller and Coles saying that they were “the driving force behind Mubaloo’s recent growth, I know that they will continue to drive it forward into the future”.

Coles said she was “delighted” to take on the new role and that by continuing to align mobile with business strategy Mubaaloo would be able to “help companies in new and innovative ways”.

Weller’s role will see her focus on commercial growth and industry positioning while Coles will deal with quality and efficiencies within Mubaloo's delivery team.

Last year was a successful year for Mubaloo’s after the company won accounts for Bang & Olufsen, London’s Air Ambulance, Hanson UK and Equiniti while also finding itself ranked third in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 UK.
