Short Rationale: The Sweethearts brand has officially ventured into the everyday, non-seasonal market. Looking to compete in the mint category, they created an upscale tin design marketing toward the female demographic to help extend the brand outside of Valentine’s day. It is currently the thinnest tin on the market and fits easily in a purse or pocket. In keeping with their famous Sweethearts brand, these mints are a micro version of their iconic heart-shaped candies. Each tin comes with an inspirational paper insert quote and a mirror inside the lid. A tagline around the side of the tin calls out "Confident | Fresh | Breath". They aimed for a rich, hi-contrast color pallet with tones of black as the key player. This pushed the upscale look while still hitting bright “minty” colors for instant shelf recognition. This was a large undertaking—over 10 different versions of this tin were created before the final was chosen.

Short Rationale: Google partnered with 72andSunny to honor the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and some of the heroes of the Disability Rights movement. As part of the Google Impact Challenge: Disabilities, Google wanted to highlight and give voice to the unsung heroes who fought and are still fighting for equality. On six different historical sites around Washington D.C., portraits of nine leaders of the Disabilities Rights movement were plastered to stairways in a symbolic effort to celebrate the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Artist Darren Booth was commissioned to execute the portraits.
