Ben & Jerry’s has teamed up with N20 to launch a pedal-powered, ice cream fuelled summer film festival at Clapham Common, London.

The three day festival, which kicks off Friday 31 July, will see eight films including Anchorman and Ghostbusters screened using environmentally friendly hybrid power technology, including special bikes connected to a generator to power the big screen.

“Ben & Jerry’s and films go together like cookie pieces and ice cream, we can’t wait to bring fun, ice cream and hybrid bikes to Clapham Common for our Big Ice Screening film festival,” said Alessandra Salvo, brand manager for Ben & Jerry’s.

“Whether you’re a film buff, an ice cream lover, a cycling fanatic or a fan of ‘Giant Jenga’, there’s something for you.”

In between films and pedal spinning, fans will be able to learn more about Ben & Jerry’s ‘Save our Swirled’ campaign for climate justice, which calls on leaders of developed nations and the United Nations to tackle climate change at the November UN summit in Paris.

Tickets for the Big Ice Screening cost £10 which includes entry, film viewing, a Ben & Jerry’s gift and unlimited scoops of Ben & Jerry’s new Fairtrade Cookie Core range. Those without a ticket will still be able to visit the festival and enjoy the entertainment, games zones and pop-up food stalls around the big screen.
