At Easter the number of Crème Eggs sold in multipacks was cut from six to five and now tins of Cadbury Heroes and Roses are to be reduced by up to 85 grams.

Tins of Roses will shrink from 780g to just under 730g whilst Heroes will suffer a reduction of around 10 per cent, dropping from 780g to 695g.

A spokesperson for parent company Mondelez told the press: “We are under pressure to ensure tubs are great value. [We] are convinced the changes we have made to the mix of chocolates ensures they remain so.”

Despite the reduction in size the Christmas favourites will stay the same price with Mondelez highlighting that both brands have been slightly revamped for 2015 with new chocolates added.
