Amber Collective, a film and photography collective based in Newcastle upon Tyne, is to showcase its remarkable collection online thanks to a new website created by digital agency We are AD.

AD has been briefed to help reposition the brand in the online space, build a solid digital strategy and implement a tailored solution for their digital asset management. The new site will also give users the option to purchase some of Amber’s vast archive online.

Graeme Rigby of the Amber Collective said: “A rebuilt and redesigned Amber Online will be at the heart of how we connect with audiences and tell our story. We love We are AD's work and are looking forward to working with them on something as rich and extraordinary as the complex of narratives it allows people to explore.”

David Johnstone, commercial director at We are AD, said: “We are excited to work with the Amber team, allowing communities to engage easily with the Collective’s fantastic work. Moving forward, we are keen to create a user-friendly system that will preserve the collection for future generations to treasure.”

Amber Collective’s work is rooted in social documentaries with a particular connection to working class and marginalised communities in the north of England. The Collective is supported by the Arts Council England and have recently received a £1.1 million heritage lottery grant.
