Channel 4 has taken steps to adapt a Twitter account called ‘Very British Problems’ into a three episode show.

Marking what is a first in the industry, the broadcaster has chosen to build upon the narrative and tone set by a Twitter feed (rather than a novel or screen play).

Each episode, set to last an hour each, has the likes of Jonathan Ross, James Corden, Steven Mangan, Ruth Jones and Johnny Vegas signed up so far.

Alaska’s Chris Fouracre said: “Our intention is to make a warm, inclusive, funny show that gently unravels the complexities and awkwardness of the British psyche, through the real lives of some of our best loved comedians and personalities.”

Developed by Alaska TV, the show will portray the awkwardness of life as a Brit, hoping to reach the account’s one million followers.
