Travel group TUI has hired MoneySuperMarket's head of programmatic Sammy Austin as head of media to drive improvements in automated advertsing across its markets.

Austin, who took up the post at the end of last month (June), will work closely with all markets to develop and deliver a programmatic strategy. She will beef up its best practice expertise as well as establish a training programme to ensure all markets are fully up to speed and continually aware of the latest developments.

Austin told The Drum she was excited about TUI's current developments in data, attribution and programmatic.

"Driving improvements in programmatic allows me to draw on experience from my time at MoneySuperMarket but having exposure across multiple markets presents a new challenge for me where different markets are at different stages of their programmatic journey," she said.

Before heading up programmatic at MoneySuperMarket, Austin was performace manager for RTB. She was previously a senior account manager at Amnet UK, the Dentsu Aegis Network's trading desk.
