Karmarama named lead creative agency for AO.com

Online electrical retailer AO.com has named Karmarama advertising as its lead European creative agency, after they won a four-way pitch process.

The British based advertising agency will create a new brand platform for broadcast advertising and digital marketing. Karmarama CEO, Ben Bilboul, said that AO.com were a “great fit” for the company and that “they have a great team and are astonishingly good at what they do“. He added that he was excited to be working with AO.com and its ambitious plans for growth.

Andrew Kirkcaldy, Group Brand Director at AO.com was impressed with Karmarama's ideas and said that the partnership made sense because “they have a great culture that is closely aligned to ours” and that they have “all the tools a business like ours needs and a modern approach to communications”.

The success of AO.com since its creation in 2000 has grown year on year and culminated with the award for Britain’s Best Retailer at the Verdict Retail Awards for customer satisfaction, holding off John Lewis from the top spot.
