Jim Beam task digital agency Blonde to manage its UK accounts

Jim Beam has appointed Blonde to manage its UK account after the agency won a competitive pitch to manage all of the brands social media channels in the UK.

The partnership will see the Edinburgh and London based agency focus its digital content strategy around the Jim Beam global campaign message “Make History”, which runs through all the brand's advertising, including TV adverts featuring Mila Kunis.

The strategy aims to connect with its target audience of 25-35 year-old males in the UK and is already underway following the launch of Jim Beam new flavour, Jim Beam Apple.

Managing director for Blonde, Pete Burns, was “very excited” to win the account at a time when he predicts Bourbon to be the fastest growing spirit category over the next five years. He said the agency would deliver “a new digital content strategy to further bring the Jim Beam personality to life to a UK audience, boosting its digital presence and increasing its social share of voice with shareable social media activities.”

The Jim Beam partnership deepens Blonde's ties to Maxxium, which already works with the agency on its The Famous Grouse, Ginger Grouse, After Shock and Sourz brands.
