If you're still wondering what drama will replace the void that's been left since Breaking Bad went off the air, look no more. SundanceTV's Rectify, is an extremely unique drama with intense character development that you should be watching if you're not. The show follows Daniel Holden (played by Aden Young) after he's released from jail after serving on death row for 19 years. The cast includes Abigail Spencer, who plays Amantha, his sister and biggest supporter. The series is created, written, directed and executive produced by Sons of Anarchy's Ray McKinnon.

SundanceTV Thrifty Town

The third season which premieres on July 9th is a big moment for SundanceTV who up until a few years ago was only known as the channel that complemented the well-known film festival. The network is launching a big digital campaign for the show to allow fans to connect even more deeply with the story.

SundanceTV shared their shared their new interactive game and job application for Thrifty Town new interactive game and job application for Thirfty Town, the fictionalized dollar store that Spencer's character works at, exclusively with Found Remote. The network's Vice President of Digital Media and Marketing, Drew Pisarra, told Found Remote about the interactive application (that just launched) and their digital campaign for the new season.

Found Remote: How has the response to Rectify on social been over the first two seasons?

Drew Pisarra: The fans — just like the critics — have been incredibly passionate about the first two seasons of “Rectify,” and we’re seeing that buzz escalate as we move into season 3. It’s also been so nice to have the cast respond in kind; they’re eager to engage with the fans and join the online conversation. To accommodate this, we’ve restructured the way we do video interviews with the cast for sundance.tv by sourcing as many of the questions as we can directly from the viewers. They repeatedly ask interesting things!

FR: Why did you launch the interactive job app? How was it built? What are the goals and KPIs you'll be looking for?

DP: The show is such a richly textured show and we wanted to reflect as many of those textures as possible in the digital campaign for the upcoming season. So aside from the Thrifty Town game (which admittedly is tongue-in-cheek), we have other features that will be rolling out as we head into season 3, including an interactive character guide inspired by the show’s key art that really taps into the more mysterious aspects of the show.

FR: Are the actors active on social?

DP: Many of the actors are active on Facebook and Twitter. In fact, every episode this season, we’ll have someone live tweeting the episode while some weeks we’ll also have an Instagram takeover by one of the cast members. Furthermore, SundanceTV’s July 4th marathon of the first two seasons of “Rectify” will have talent associated with the series live tweeting the episode for the East Coast, including fan favorite Johnny Ray Gill, who played Kerwin, and Kate Powers, staff writer and Writers Guild Award nominee who has also been a major creative force this season for much of our exciting digital content.
