Kanye West has been revealed as the most tweeted about artist attending Glastonbury 2015 in the run up the festival.

Figures released by Twitter state that West was mentioned ahead of Bastille, the Foo Fighters, Florence and the Machine and James Bay, to top the list.

On the follower front, Pharrell Williams and Azealia Banks experienced the largest user growth, 101 per cent and 76 per cent respectively, since last year’s festival.

The social media site also collected the top keywords regarding the festival with ‘Line-up’ coming out on top.

Regarding music festivals in general, Twitter announced that ‘wellies’ was the most popular term, followed by ‘hair’, hats’, ‘shopping’ and ‘style’.

Stuart Aitken, head of content, at DigitasLBi earlier this week analysed for The Drum why Twitter reacted so badly to the festival’s announcement that Florence & the Machine was to replace the Foo Fighters announcement.
