The Sun poaches Guido Fawkes journalist Harry Cole to cover Westminster
The Sun has snapped up prominent politics reporter Harry Cole to cover the Westminster beat.
The Guido Fawkes writer will join the UK’s best-selling newspaper under the role of chief political correspondent.
Cole, who was second in command at Guido Fawkes, behind founder Paul Staines, will join the publication among a raft of personnel changes.
Tom Newton Dunn, the politics editor of the Sun made the announcement on Twitter.

Furthermore, Craig Woodhouse has been promoted to the position of chief political correspondent.

Cole thanked Staines for giving him his start in the industry: “Paul Staines is an evil genius and I want to thank him for the best possible first job in journalism.
“It’s been a hell of a ride being Guido, but now it’s time to blow things up under my own name and I can think of no better platform from which to do so than as Westminster correspondent for the Sun.”
The Sun's chief political correspondent Kevin Schofield is leaving the role to become editor of PoliticsHome.
