Twitter's head of sports Danny Keens on its partnership with the NBA Finals
The NBA Finals were one of the year's biggest social TV events. According to the social platform, from 4-17 June, tweets about the finals were seen 7.6 billion times on Twitter and across the web. Danny Keens, Twitter's head of North American sports partnership talked to Found Remote about their partnership with the NBA.
"This year we partnered with the NBA to create a unique Finals experience on Twitter and it was a massive success as #NBAFinals related tweets were seen over 7.6 billion times on Twitter and across the web during the epic series," Keens told Found Remote.
"Fans loved adding color to Tweets with hashflags and our NBA Finals mobile timeline experience offered fans the best of Twitter in real-time full of video replays, behind the scenes videos and photos and expert commentary, all of which brought NBA Fans closer to The Finals on Twitter than ever before," he added.
