Dazed appoints former Buzzfeed VP Will Hayward as first chief commercial officer
Dazed Group has appointed the former vice president (VP) of Europe at Buzzfeed Will Hayward to the newly created role of chief commerical officer.
Hayward, who left Buzzfeed in March this year following an 18-month stint, will manage a team of more than 50 people across creative, digital and advertising. He will also join the board of directors.
Jefferson Hack, co-founder of Dazed, said: "As we’ve seen the social web evolve to include all forms of inspirational, meaningful storytelling we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Will to the team to help lead a new period of growth and innovation."
Hayward added that he is "fascinated" with the way the web is changing and is "delighted" to join Dazed at this "exciting time for the business and the industry as a whole".
