Samsung has released a video of a HGV it has dubbed ‘The Safety Truck’ which displays real-time footage of the road ahead to enable motorists to overtake the vehicle.

In a bid to cut down car accidents caused during overtaking, Samsung installed tech into its trucks to give drivers a glimpse of what is in front of them.

The campaign by Leo Burnett Argentina shows the truck doing the rounds on Argentinian roads.

Wireless cameras at the front of the vehicle feed footage of the open road to those behind the trucks to aid them with their overtaking efforts. At night it even feeds back nightvision enabled footage to those following.

The campaign could help reduce accidents in the nation which has long swathes of single lane roads, making overtaking a considerable hazard.
