Vice Media, USA Today, Reuters & Al Jazeera among The Drum Online Media Awards winners

The Drum Online Media Awards has named Vice News as the Grand Prix winner for this year, with Reuters taking the Chairman’s Award and Al Jazeera English winning Outstanding Digital Team of the Year.

The winners on the evening were announced at a gala event held in London, which also saw Alex Miller from Vice UK named Online Editor of the Year and Anthony Cuthbertson from International Business Times UK as Digital Writer of the Year.

Reuters was the winner of the Chairman’s Award with For Water’s Edge and USA Today picked up the award for Best Campaigning/Investigative Journalism with Fugitives Next Door.

The Guardian was named the winner of Best Site for News-led Journalism and Vice was the winner of Breaking News Story of the Year for The Islamic State.
