CodePen is set to debut in Scotland, planning its first 'CodePen Meetup' in Glasgow’s SocietyM on the 17 June.

The event, sponsored by The Drum, will discuss a number of hot topics for those with a love of web design and development. CodePen, a "playground" for the front end side of the web looks to inspire, educate and share those with expertise in their trade - or enthusiastic newcomers.

At the moment, speakers include, Hilary Brownlie, lead UX researcher and designer of the Student Loans Company and Aaron Bassett, founder and developer of RawTech.

Fresh off the back of her appearance at UX Scotland next month Hilary will be discussing accessibility standards and how they are often overlooked.

While Aaron will be sharing his behavior-driven development workflow using Jasmine and CodePen.

Also on offer is 'free beer and free swag'… if you need another incentive.

Register to attend here to take part in discussions which will (officially) last from 6pm till 9pm.

If you are interested in speaking at the event, drop @alistairtweedie a DM on Twitter.
