US Ad of the Week: PetSmart - Partners in Pethood
Voted by US Creative Department readers as Ad of the Week, PetSmart’s latest spot introduces viewers to the ‘Avant Guardians,’ a pair of fashion-obsessed Shih Tzu owners that genuinely believe their dog is the style icon of the pet world.
Created by GSD&M-Austin, the video features the couple and their ‘fashion-forward dog’ named Ford. They claim that their PetSmart groomer, Morgan, ‘knows how important style is to Ford.’
The video was directed by GO’s Christopher Guest, famous for his work on the film ‘Best in Show,’ which parodies pet owners competing at a national dog show.
The spot encourages viewers to book an appointment with one of their groomers online.
