Norwegian Cruise Line picks BBDO Atlanta to handle creative

Norwegian Cruise Line has chosen Omnicom’s BBDO Atlanta for creative duties following a competitive review.

Previously, the account was handled by Interpublic Group’s (IPG) The Martin Agency based in Richmond, Virginia.

The company has also confirmed that OMD Midwest, which is also Omnicom-owned, will now be its media agency partner.

Meg Lee, vice president and chief marketing officer of Norwegian Cruise Line, said: “Norwegian Cruise Line and the cruise industry are on an uptick and we are looking to capitalize on this business momentum. In BBDO and OMD, we have found two agencies with proven track records of success with high involvement brands.”

Work from the new partnerships is expected to roll out in January of next year.

BBDO and OMD share a number of clients including Bacardi, which was announced earlier this year.
