Amazon Prime Now has upped the ante in the one-hour New York city delivery game by offering to deliver items from local stores.

The online marketplace has partnered with D’Agostino, Gourmet Garage, and Billy’s Bakery. It will soon also provide offerings from the West Side Market and Eataly.

The move will further threaten other instant delivery services such as Instacart and Postmates.

“Prime Now hub in Manhattan is home to tens of thousands of products that are being delivered to customers in an hour or less,” said Dave Clark, Amazon’s senior vice president of worldwide operations.

“Now, we are expanding the service to include delivery from local stores. So whether you’re ordering diapers and a big-screen television from Amazon, fresh produce from D’Agostino, a chef-made prepared meal from Gourmet Garage or cupcakes from Billy’s Bakery, we will get all of the items right to your door in lightning-fast speeds.”

Clark added that the local service will soon extend to other Prime Now cities, including Brooklyn, Miami, Austin and Baltimore.

The local services are only available to a few neighborhoods in Manhattan, but will cover the entire island within the next few weeks.
