Michael Fassbender has premiered his take on the late Steve Jobs with the emergence of the first official trailer for the biographical film.

Donning Jobs’ signature blue jeans, black turtle neck and designer glasses Fassbender is shown taking to the stage to accept the adulation of waiting Apple disciples as the businessman unveils the company’s iconic products.

Directed by Danny Boyle the piece is being touted as a look at Jobs’ ongoing legacy whilst attempting to avoid being overly sycophantic.

An accompanying tagline for the flick reads: “Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, the film takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.”

Supporting Fassbender onscreen will be fellow Brit Kate Winslett as well as Seth Rogen, Jeff Daniels, Kathering Waterston and Michael Stuhlbarg.

The film itself won’t hit theatres until 9 October.
