Big Group has got a little bigger after acquiring Newbury based marketing communications agency m4 for an undisclosed sum.

Specialists in creative design, digital and 3d retail displays m4 will serve to enhance Big’s marketing services and consumer electronics offer.

Commenting on the new relationship, Big Group CEO, Nick Scott said: “m4 is an innovative agency, particularly in the use of 3D technologies in retail environments which adds to our B2C and B2B service offering. We recognise that clients enjoy working with a local agency and having an office outside of London helps us to better serve many of our joint clients”.

M4 MD Colin Dobson will continue to run the business under the Big umbrella together with Jo Thomson, client services director, with the business continuing to operate from its Newbury base with no change to the name.

Dobson commented: “Based in Newbury and being part of the Big Group family was an important factor in positioning m4 for the future. Big Group and m4 share the same ethos when it comes to client service and company culture and we believe this will give us a clear advantage in today’s marketplace”.

Clients of the new enlarged group include Samsung, BT, Hitachi and Ralph Lauren.
