ABC’s ‘The Muppets’ and CBS’s ‘Supergirl’ cause Twitter buzz following Upfronts
Twitter tracked the conversations happening around this past week’s TV Upfronts in New York City to find which show for each network got the most people talking.
The shows that generated the most buzz for each network are as follows: ABC – The Muppets; CBS – Supergirl; Fox – Scream Queens; NBC – Heroes Reborn; and The CW – DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
The social networking site noted that while promotion spend is the most significant lever used to launch a successful show, research shows that Twitter can also be an early indicator of which shows will attract large audiences before they go live.
The Upfronts give networks the opportunity to show off their upcoming TV line-ups to advertisers.
