Yahoo’s Kevin Gentzel no longer head of sales
Kevin Gentzel, former Washington Post chief revenue officer, has left his position as head of sales for Yahoo, just seven months after beginning it.
While Yahoo has confirmed the departure, it is still unclear whether it was via the request of Gentzel, or the company.
Gentzel has significant experience in the media and native advertising worlds, having moved to The Post in 2013, after a 13-year stint at Forbes.
“It had to be an opportunity of this magnitude for me to even consider leaving The Washington Post, a brand I have long revered, and this team, for which I have the deepest respect and admiration,” he said of his move to Yahoo last year.
It is unclear how Yahoo will fill Gentzel’s spot.
