Google’s head of policy and communications, Rachel Whetstone, has taken a similar position, senior vice president of policy and communications at Uber.

She had been with Google for ten years, and had most recently been busy handling the European Union’s qualms with the search engine.

While at Uber, Whetstone will have her hands full while handling the ride sharing app’s massive global expansion and the legal issues it faces.

Whetstone will begin her new post next month and will report directly to Uber chief executive officer, Travis Kalanick.
