Micro Scooters is readying a campaign involving brand partnerships and product placement deals which will see it target the adult market as well as its traditional two to 10-year old demographic.

The announcement comes after Samantha Cameron, wife of recently re-elected prime minister David Cameron, was pictured arriving at Downing Street on a £159 Micro White scooter last week. Sales of the scooter have reportedly soared since then.

Experiential agency Brand & Deliver has been hired to secure and manage brand partnerships in a 12-month campaign for Micro Scooters.

Alison Jackson, direct marketing manager Micro Scooters, said the activity will promote Micro Scooters as a fun, quick and healthy way for adults to cover the last mile of their journey to and from work.

“This campaign signals a step change in the way we promote our business. We are committed to establishing new strategic partnerships across our portfolio to engage our target consumers and convince adults and urban commuters of the benefits of scooting on their time, wallets and health,” she said.

Rich Barnes, managing director at Brand & Deliver said the agency wants to “trigger a revolution” with the work and will be targeting like-minded food, travel and lifestyle brands.
