The Lad Bible publisher 65twenty makes senior commercial appointments

The Lad Bible and The Sport Bible’s publisher 65twenty has named Adriaan Zimmerman as its business development director while also promoting James Wigley to the newly created role of commercial director.

Zimmerman, who will join from New York publishing and events business Woven Digital where he was vice president of business development and head of programmatic advertising. He will head up the company's data initiatives asa well as driving its innovation across the business, product strategy and partnerships.

Meanwhile, Wigley, who joined last October, will oversee the business’ commercial team in London. He will be charged with spear-heading the publisher’s native strategy through partnerships with brands such as Sony Pictures, Microsoft, EA, Activision, Vauxhall and Budweiser.

Solly Solomou, co-founder and chief executive of 65twenty said: Adriaan has been a friend of the business for a long time and I’m absolutely delighted he is joining us as business development director. His extensive experience will help The Lad Bible, The Sport Bible and Pretty52 to continue to re-define the way that content is created for, delivered to and shared by the Millennial generation, both in the UK and beyond.”

Of the promotion of Wigley to commercial direction, he was congratulatory; “It is a richly deserved promotion, recognising not only James’ contribution to the business to date but also the rapid expansion of our commercial team and our focus on monetisation models of the future.”

Both will report directly to Solomou.
