Credit Karma hires former Google Hangouts exec as CPO
Credit Karma has named Nikhyl Singhal, formerly of Google Hangouts, as its new chief products officer (CPO).
According to re/Code, Singhal left Google in January amidst various executive changes. Singhal also craved a switch back to his startup roots.
“I thought it was just the perfect time for me to find my home where I could be entrepreneurial, but do that at scale,” he said. “Its product is in its first inning. But you don’t start with the base of zero; you start with 35 million plus.”
In his new role, Singhal will report directly to Credit Karma’s chief executive, Kenneth Lin.
