App Annie snaps up Mobidia to enhance mobile insights

Market data and analytics firm App Annie has snapped up mobile measurement firm Mobidia for an undisclosed sum, a deal which is set to hasten rollout of the business' in-house Usage Intelligence platform across 60 countries.

The enlarged app dataset will also offer insights into iOS and Android smartphone trends as well as usage data and info on hundreds of thousands of apps

As part of the deal Mobidia’s 30 employees will migrate to App Annie with its Vancouver headquarters rebranded to App Annie Canada
