Ed Miliband defends #EdStone following social media jibes
Labour leader Ed Miliband has defended his #EdStone manifesto after the stunt was mocked on social media following its unveiling.
The 8ft monument, which outlines six key Labour pledges, attracted ridicule from social media users with many putting their photoshop skills to good use.
Seriously though, imagine being the archaeologist who finds the #EdStone "We have found evidence of a tribe known as the Millifandom..."

I wonder if labour will launch a women's stone? You know, something carved into a nice pink gemstone #EdStone

Speaking to Radio 4’s Today programme Miliband said the stone had “got people talking” and that he had no regrets.
“I think trust is a huge issue in this election,” said Miliband. “The difference with our pledges is that they are not going to expire on May 8…Nick Clegg went into the last election saying he would cut tuition fees. He trebled them. David Cameron went into the last election saying no ifs, no buts, net migration down to the tens of thousands. It’s 298,000.
“We are setting out promises; they don’t expire on May 8.”
