Russian minister brands Apple’s emojis as ‘gay propaganda’
Russian authorities are investigating Apple for “promoting homosexuality” with its series of same-sex couple emojis.
Following chief executive Tim Cook, announcing he is “proud to be gay,” in October, the company has come under close scrutiny in Russia.
Previously Apple's U2 gift album ‘Songs of Innocence’ was under investigation under the same legislation due to its cover featuring band member Larry Mullen hugging his topless son Elvis.
