Sopexa USA hires Omnicom comms manager for PR director role

Sopexa USA, a marketing agency for food, drink, and lifestyle brands, has snared Omnicom's manager of corporate communications Benjamin Bourinat as its director of public relations.

In his new role, Bourinat will be responsible for leading the development of client public relations and social media campaigns. Sopexa USA's clients include Wines of France, Cognac, and Avocados from Mexico.

Sopexa Group was originally created by the French government to promote its cuisine overseas. The company went private in 2009 and has opened numerous global offices.

Prior to Omnicom Bourinat held communications roles at IPG and Havas.
