Radley appoints former Goldsmith's chief Justin Stead as CEO

British handbag company Radley & Co has appointed the former chief of Aurum Holdings, owner of Watches of Switzerland and Goldsmith brands, Justin Stead to the role of chief executive.

Stead, who replaces former Radley CEO Xavier Simonet after his departure in January, most recently served as chairman and investor with private equity in Sofa.com, where he will remain in as non-executive chairman.

Roger Best, chairman of Radley, said: “We are delighted that Justin will be leading Radley. His proven track record in building outstanding success at Aurum and his considerable international experience of developing international distribution and accessories brands will be of significant benefit to us as we grow internationally”.

Prior to Aurum, Stead spent eight years at the Fossil Group based in Dallas, Texas where as senior vice president he was instrumental in the growth of its watch and jewellery business throughout the world.

He will begin his appointment and start his new role on 6 May.
