A pilot’s iPad glitch caused delays, affecting about two dozen American Airlines flights late yesterday (29 April).

The airline's pilots all use a special app that helps with flight mapping and planning. At 7pm Pacific, the app’s software began to glitch.

Some pilots were able to resolve the issue during boarding, while others were forced to take their planes back to the gate. It is still unclear what caused the glitch.

Some passengers shared the incident via social media.
