Hulu to make cable TV debut
Hulu will soon be available to Cablevision’s Optimal subscribers.
The video service is known for providing cable offerings for its viewers, but this is the first time a cable or satellite provider will be offering Hulu.
“The partnership with Hulu reflects Cablevision’s desire to meet customers where they are,” said Kristin Dolan, chief operating officer of Cablevision.
“There is a new generation of consumers who access video through the Internet, and whatever their preference, Cablevision will facilitate a great content experience.”
The service would be equivalent of a Hulu Plus subscription which currently runs at a monthly rate of $8.
There is no word yet on when the service will roll out, or what it would cost.
