A new initiative aimed at matching pioneering tech start-ups to brands has been launched by global digital media agency 7thingsmedia

Tech x Media will see emerging tech companies such as Grabble, Viewsy and Avenue Imperial pitch bespoke campaign concepts to participating brands and a panel of industry experts including representatives from Facebook, Econsultacy and digital entrepreneur Mark Pearson. The panel will select the campaign judged as most innovative and best aligned to the brand’s marketing strategy and 7thingsmedia will then facilitate strategy meetings with the brand and technology start-up with a view to launching the ground-breaking digital campaign at a later date.

Brands so far confirmed for the inaugural event include Charlotte Tilbury, James Villa Holidays, Kurt Geiger and Konga.com with The Drum and WeWork contributing as media partners.

Speaking of the initiative, Chris Bishop, founder and chief executive officer at 7thingsmedia, said: “As consumers rapidly embrace technology, many of the forward-thinking tech start-ups selected for Tech X Media are disrupting their sector by creating a product to meet new demands or even, in some cases, creating a market that didn’t exist before. In a ‘Dragon Den meets Mad Men’ way, Tech x Media will give our clients’ the opportunity to work alongside companies built to proliferate brand, data, distribution, innovation and technology.”
