Tyler McFluff, one of the world’s most prolific rodent artists, is to show a sneak preview of his latest work at The Drum Digital Trading Awards (DTA) this week.

The Drum was given exclusive access to the artist’s pieces for his next show, alongside an insight into his working practices, in a film produced by its video production arm Drum Studios.

The film ‘The rodent artist who's storming the gallery scene’ – is available to view now on The Drum Arts YouTube channel.

Tyler and his management believe programmatic advertising will be critical to the future of art and are attending the DTAs to gain inspiration from this year’s best work.

Art critics that have been given early exposure to the work have praised the dramatic emotional breakthrough in his expressionist paintings.

McFluff is keen to expand beyond a traditional art world increasingly in thrall to the realm of mammon that he feels is holding him back, one he describes as a “insipid hell hole of investment-crazed pretentiousness”.

Instead, Tyler wants to harness the power of digital technologies to take his work directly to his public, crowdsourcing his ideas to involve the public in its creative genesis.

His latest work is currently available as prints, canvases and - as a homage to his rodent brethren - mousemats.
