Google is expected to launch its mobile services as early as today (22 April). According to a new report, the tech giant will only charge mobile customers for data they use.

As it stands, mobile customers usually have to pay for a lump sum of data each month, regardless of whether it is used or not.

According to the Wall Street Journal, both Sprint and T Mobile will carry traffic on the service. However to begin with, the application will only be available on Google Nexus 6 phones.

Google initially announced the launch of the mobile service earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress in June.

It is still unknown whether Google’s entry into the mobile arena will effect other major providers like Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon
