Snapchat has upped the recruitment ante by bombarding its users within the geographical confines of Uber HQ with messages urging them to instead work for the photo-messaging app.

In a cheeky bid to snap up the best talent in the digital industry, Snapchat has put a geo-filtered message over Uber HQ, meaning those using Snapchat within the confines of the building will receive the prompts.

One such message is “this place driving you mad?” overlaid on the Uber logo, featuring a link to Snapchat recruitment.

Snapchat spokesperson Jill Hazelbaker told Forbes: “They’re a unique and playful form of recruiting,” with the company admitting it implemented the measures at “a handful” of locations.

The messages featured Snapchat’s ghost mascot looking sad while driving a cab, heralding a clear message that the picture app is the better place to work.
